For your first time visiting the park.Enter the south gate.house.This drive up to the Cliffy Inn will let you know how far from the ridge to the creek below.This park is a year round must the changes of all four seasons.Spring wild flowers and clear view of the canyon are a great start for summer flowers and green leaves.Fall colors are beautiful and some snow and ice with clear view from top of the canyon will have you taking pictures all day untill sunset.Picnic areas are great with a couple of shelters.The Inn has great view of the Ohio river and Madison,but there are smokestacks that take away some of the view.The restaurant inside the Inn has good comfort food and not to pricey.Camping is ok,with clean shower House and camp store.The hiking trails will challenge all.Must aren't to rugged or long,but if you take your time you'll see lots of wildlife,birds. fossil's and lots of wonderful memories to share...
