When Tech Heroes opened in about 2012, I took my 2010 Macbook Pro in to get their thoughts on replacing the glass screen. I use my Macbooks for photography, Facebook and e-mails so I don't need a fancy new computer. Back in 2012, Apple wanted about $700 to put in a new screen, but Tech Heroes put in a plexiglass screen for about $100. Since then, I have been a regular customer. Recently my 2012 Macbook Pro has been running slow. Error messages kept coming up. My sbcglobal.net e-mail has been losing my passwords too. I thought my Mac had a virus, but that doesn't happen. I showed the service tech what I was referring to with my e-mail. He spent 20 minutes watching me try to login and the error messages I was getting, then explained that sbcglobal.net has gone downhill and only has a handful of people working for them, then suggested using gmail. I logged into my gmail account and he explained how the two-step login at gmail was superior. All of their employees treat me as a valued customer each and every time I enter the store and the owner remembers me from over 12 years ago . I highly recommend Tech Heroes to work on your computers and for their outstanding...
Read moreI've done a number of electronic repairs before on my own using online tutorials and schematics, but for my specific model cell phone, the cracked screen was considered quite difficult for a DIY, so I took it to Tech Heroes. Outside of box stores, I've never found a repair place that exudes professionalism in their appearance. Tech Heroes isn't much to look at. Their work spaces are cluttered and plenty of old tech items in cases. However, they had excellent customer service. They really know how a retail store should be run in that avenue. Both times I stopped in, I was taken care of immediately and my repairs were done in about an hour. While my phone had a problem related to their first repair, I brought it back and being very apologetic, fixed it right away. The service and professionalism in attitude is what makes me rate this place 5 stars. Sure they made a mistake, but they made it right and it wasn't that big of a deal as long as everything works in the end and I feel well treated. For quick repairs (assuming they have the part in stock) and good service, I'd definitely recommend...
Read moreThe screen on my Galaxy 4 was broken and the debugging mode was off when this happened. I wanted to transfer my files from the phone to my desktop, but this is only possible with debugging mode on. As it turns out, the ONLY way to turn on this mode is to use the screen and navigate the menus (thanks a bunch Android team:/).
A replacement screen would have cost around $150 but all I needed was a spare screen to plug in and turn on debugging mode. The guy I talked with was completely understanding. Instead of insisting I let them transfer my files (with service fee), they plugged in a screen and let me chage the mode for free! He wouldn't even take my money when I offered.
This is type of service I always hope for and almost never find: they could have made more money, but instead gave me exactly what I wanted and gained a loyal customer in the process. I'll recommend these guys to anyone who needs a phone or repairs. ...
