We played the disc golf course here with a small time window. The course has 10 holes, 3 par 4s, and a reasonable layout. The vegetation is fairly lush, so you have to pay attention to your disc's roll, bounces, or skips if you are off your intended line. It's a fairly good use of the edges of the property. #2's vegetation is thick if you hyzer too much off the tee, but it is a good birdie opp if you nail your line. #3's line can be tricky if you have a headwind and an understable or even stable disc with a anhyzer release angle. I think it is #7's OB that lies just long and right of the basket, not apparent until you near the pin, so maybe that's why it is a par 4? Overall, it is fairly friendly for beginners or those newer...
Read moreThe Park itself is terrific. It's denizens vary wildly. There's way too much poop on the grounds when members are specifically requested to clean up after their dogs. Understandable since many just lounge under the shelter with no idea where their dogs are and what they may be doing. No one under 12 years old is supposed to be in the Park. Period. There's no official policing; instead, the posted rules state that it is up to members to alert others to transgressions. Guess how...
Read moreCommunity Bark West is an amazing dog park! It requires a membership which is awesome because the membership requirements involve vaccinations. It's a relief to know that the other dogs there are vaccinated so my dogs aren't exposed to any illnesses. There's so much space there for my dogs to stretch their legs along with a nice walking path. Only downside is that it's usually pretty muddy at the back of the park where there's a large area with prairie grass. There are also usually other dogs to play with and work...
