My12 year old grandson was visiting from Las Vegas. He plays on a league in Las Vegas. We bought $5 in tokens (thank goodness we didn't get $10, like we wanted to). The token machine didn't work so we gave the worker $5 in cash and he gave us the tokens. You're supposed to get 15 pitches per token. The first 5 pitches never even made it to the plate. Then had 7 good pitches. So only 12 pitches, and it stopped throwing pitches. We went to a faster speed and put a token in. Got three pitches and it jammed. My husband put in another token and nothing happened. I went to the young boy in charge and explained what happened. He gave us one token (should have been two) and he went to the machine in an attempt to clear the machine. It still didn't work and he said just try a different cage. So went to a faster speed machine. This time the first 3 pitches never made it to the plate and then it jammed. I went to speak to the worker again and he said "were having problems with the machines" and tried to clear it with no avail and walked away and said nothing. We went to another machine and tried again. Had 6 pitches that never made it to the plate. Then 4 good pitches. Then we went back to the first batting cage again because we had one token left. We got 2 pitches and it jammed again. We went to the young boy and told him about all the problems with the machines and asked for a refund because all their machines were faulty and we didn't really get to see our grandson hit the ball. He told us he couldn't give us a refund because he didn't have any cash in the booth. Excuse me, we just give him $5 in cash for 5 tokens. Where did that cash go??? My advice. Stay away from these batting cages. Sorry for this lengthy...
Read moreI visit here almost daily. There are many poke stops in close proximity. This park is typically a spawn point of rarer pokemon. First there was Pikachu then Magmar then Cubone. Right now the park is overun with Meowth's. I can't wait to see what the next nest change will bring! It's a great park for runners, walkers and they have a coffee/hot chocolate machine in the community center for those chilly days! Donate a hat or gloves this season for their Christmas Tree. My only complaint is the only bathroom facilities are inside the building which is not accessible when the community...
Read moreI visited this park for my daughter's soccer game, and while I didn't fully enjoy the experience, I could appreciate some of its features. The park has a really nice trail for walking and offers beautiful views. There's plenty of parking, and I noticed they have a mini-golf course, clean public restrooms, and batting cages. Though I didn't go inside the park district building, I saw a sign mentioning an indoor water park. There's also a small pond, playground, and picnic area, which makes it a cute park overall. I would definitely recommend it for families looking for...
