Public access beach however...primarily private streets surround it, (gated neighborhoods with signs saying no beach access). To access the beach there is one tiny steep almost hidden stairway to the beach, so forget it being accessible for people who do not have able bodied privilege. Once on the PUBLIC beach a private security guard hollers at people from the private street above in an elitist neighborhood, the guard comes around threatening people that the sheriff will come write tickets for dogs or noise or whatever else. My dog is a service animal but her tone and literally her pretending to be “looking out for me” and when I was ready to remain there regardless, and wait for the sheriff to provide them with the paperwork for my pup, she kept telling me to “move along,” was pretentious and inappropriate as she has no jurisdiction or status to demand I do anything. I found the beach close to the water line to be a bit rocky but there were some good breaks for surfing and boogie boarding.
