One of my favorite things to do is find secluded beaches that not many people know about. It's always a challenge to find the entrance, but it's so worth it when you finally make your way to the stunning shoreline. This particular beach is perfect for dog-owners because there are no lifeguards on duty.

It’s a private beach so you have to find street parking but there’s a big gate and on the side there’s usually a door that’s open where you can walk down to the beach. It’s not that far and worth the view. Also keep the beach clean.

Not worth the drive and finding the beach, but it's secluded if you care for that.

Public access beach however...primarily private streets surround it, (gated neighborhoods with signs saying no beach access). To access the beach there is one tiny steep almost hidden stairway to the beach, so forget it being accessible for people who do not have able bodied privilege. Once on the PUBLIC beach a private security guard hollers at people from the private street above in an elitist neighborhood, the guard comes around threatening people that the sheriff will come write tickets for dogs or noise or whatever else. My dog is a service animal but her tone and literally her pretending to be “looking out for me” and when I was ready to remain there regardless, and wait for the sheriff to provide them with the paperwork for my pup, she kept telling me to “move along,” was pretentious and inappropriate as she has no jurisdiction or status to demand I do anything. It just left such a bad taste in my mouth, there is a clear and blatant intention of this city to be privatized and prevent access for those less...

This is a nice beach at a semi-secluded area. The stairs down from street level can be a bit treacherous if they have a build-up of sand. I found the beach close to the water line to be a bit rocky but there were some good breaks for surfing and boogie boarding. I also didn't notice any facilities and the beach is mostly lined with private properties. All in all, it was a nice beach on a warm,...
