DESCRIPTION: This 6ish-mile, easy-effort hike at Malibu Creek State Park will take you to several iconic locations from the park's history in film and television. The hike includes the Rock Pools swimming hole and scenic views of Century Lake, named after 20th Century Fox Studios, which used the park as a shooting ranch for many years. You'll also encounter the MASH site, which has vehicles, structures, and displays about the filming of the television show MASH. Along the trail, you'll see remnants of the park's past, including the site of "Ape Village" from the original Planet of the Apes.

Butterflies were floating about, bunnies hopping, birds and a few other live creatures zipping around. The various colors of plants trees and flowers paint the amazing surroundings as you choose your path trail. Free parking outside the gates and day or hourly parking to the interior is not expensive. $3 per hour day is capped in advance. Buy enough time as they can ticket if your time is expired.
