Arrowhead Lake is a small 12 surface acre alpine lake along the Duck Pass Trail in Inyo National Forest. Arrowhead Lake is about one mile from the trailhead at 9,800' feet in elevation. It is shaped like an arrowhead with a large rock outcropping on the southern end. Along the trail you will see a sign pointing to the left for Arrowhead Lake, don't skip it because it is a very short walk down to the lake. At this point after climbing up over 800 feet from the parking lot and trailhead, it is nice to take a short break and view the lake. If you are hiking with dogs, they like to get a drink as well. While we were there we saw four young adults jumping into the water off of the rocks on the eastern in of the lake. So beautiful and quiet and peaceful place.
