This visitor center is towards the north of the Yosemite valley along Tioga pass road. The Tioga road is open only for a few months in a year. The visitor center is located right opposite the Tuolumne meadows. It has a small gift shop inside and also exhibits of the different rocks, flora and fauna inside the Park. There is also very clean restroom facility inside with running water. The Rangers in the visitor center are very patient knowledgeable and they take time to explain and clarify your questions.

The visitor center was located in a perfect location. The staff were very friendly and patient. The restrooms were very clean. Ample parking. Some trails around the visitor center. They do have the Yosemite Tuolumne Meadows travel passport stamp available.

Overwhelming landscape and nature. A place where air will surround you by whispers of peace and centuries of peaceful life. Have been to many places in the world. I was deeply impressed by this landscape, nature and energy.

If you get here at around 6:30 am in the morning, you can wait in line until they open at 7:30 am and get a walk-in campsite.

You can fish in the meadow but can only walk away with brown trout and not rainbow trout.

This place is beyond beautiful where you have the Toulumne River flowing through a wide meadow flanked on either side by tall green trees. Surrounding it is the large granite mountains that turn pink during sunset.

Bears are active in the area so bear...

The visitors center here is very helpful. We liked this part of the park better than the valley. The drive here itself was great. I recommend getting here earlier in the day to get parking & beat the traffic. There are many trails in them meadow, around the river & in the mountains here. There are not as many food options in this part though one of the best vegetarian chilis I ever had was at the Tuolumne...
