This visitor center is towards the north of the Yosemite valley along Tioga pass road. The Tioga road is open only for a few months in a year. The visitor center is located right opposite the Tuolumne meadows. It has a small gift shop inside and also exhibits of the different rocks, flora and fauna inside the Park. There is also very clean restroom facility inside with running water. The Rangers in the visitor center are very patient knowledgeable and they take time to explain and clarify...

You can fish in the meadow but can only walk away with brown trout and not rainbow trout.
This place is beyond beautiful where you have the Toulumne River flowing through a wide meadow flanked on either side by tall green trees. Surrounding it is the large granite mountains that turn pink during sunset.

I recommend getting here earlier in the day to get parking & beat the traffic. There are many trails in them meadow, around the river & in the mountains here.There are not as many food options in this part though one of the best vegetarian chilis I ever had was at the Tuolumne...
