I recently visited the New Jersey National Guard Museum and was genuinely impressed. I attended a lecture that was not only informative but also engaging and well-presented. The staff were incredibly friendly and knowledgeable—they clearly have a deep passion for the history they preserve. The displays and artifacts are fantastic, offering a rich look into New Jersey’s military heritage. Whether you're a history buff or just curious, this museum is absolutely worth the visit.

What a fascinating place to visit as a day trip . Whether you want to visit on your own for educational research or take your family . It’s definitely a great experience and a hidden gem ! Overall the facility is clean and very well maintained. I was able to get a little tour by an intern which was so knowledgeable . I will be visiting again !!!!!

Small museum that covers the militia in NJ from the early colonial times through the current day National Guard. Occasionally, they have very informative presentations.

Visiting this small museum is a nice way to spend a morning or part of an afternoon on a cold or rainy day at the beach. The docent was knowledgeable, eager to help and friendly. There are interesting artifacts and stories for people interested in New Jersey history and bits and pieces of national history in various wars dating back to the French Indian war in the 18th century. Admission is free. Definitely something for...

Interesting...well worth going there! A little gem of a museum devoted to describing the history of the Militia/National Guard in New Jersey. Displays and dioramas put together primarily by a corps of devoted volunteers contain many artifacts contributed or loaned to the museum by former Service Members or their families. Do not miss the 18 ton Civil War era submarine that is on display in one of the back rooms...realky...
