Just want to hop on and update my review to 5 stars. I found today a nice little freezer section filled with all kinds of organ meat blends and products. Was so happy to see this! Not sure if I just missed it the first time or if that's new, but it is very appreciated.

Overall a really solid store and our family really enjoyed it here.
Some of the pros:
Staff was incredibly friendly. The woman in the cosmetics section came up to my family and complimented each of our hair. Offered us help right away. The man who was bagging my groceries took the time to individually check my eggs since I had my hands full with a baby. Definitely just above and beyond what you see at most stores today.
There is a really great selection of foods and a wide variety of brands. This store can cater to a wide variety of diets.
Everything was so clean! And very well stocked. The displays particularly in the produce section are gorgeous.
Pricing is as expected higher than the regular grocery store, but honestly some of the best pricing I've seen from local health food stores. That was a nice bonus.
Now a few cons:
The only reason I am not giving a full 5 stars, is because we were not actually able to to find everything we needed on our weekly grocery list. Our family follows a Weston Price Foundation type diet and while we found probably 80% of what we needed there were a few areas that were a bit lacking. Namely, there wasn't much raw dairy (there was raw milk and a few choice raw cheese, but no raw cottage cheese, cream, sour cream, butter, etc that we typically buy) and very few organ meats. We typically get scrapple, organ meat/ground beef blend, chicken liver pate for crackers etc, but could not find those here.
Additionally, we did grab a hot lunch by the deli that was very tasty! However, it was unfortunately not very clear what ingredients were being used. For example, I had the turkey, cheese, and green apple sandwich (which was delicious!) but It was not clear if there was raw cheese being used, if the turkey was nitrate free, if the apples were organic (I totally assumed they were, but it just wasn't labeled as such). Again, very tasty, just wish the ingredients were a tad clearer on the menu.
Overall, this is a lovely store and a great asset to our community! We will certainly continue our weekly shopping here but really hope they consider adding a few key items...
Read moreNow that Sprouts is here I understand better what a resource Leg Up has been for all these years. Comparing the two stores, Sprouts certainly has all the staples. Everything is fresh, new and clean. But Leg Up has much better amenities, pizza oven, reasonably priced juice bar, a place to sit and eat, more of a selection as it relates to vegan friendly prepared foods+ desserts. But also, staff at Leg Up have a much better sense of the kinds of things to carry. They have some very unique groceries. Almond butter cookies made with coconut sugar. Leg Up's prices are better and sales are far superior to Sprouts. Leg Up excels in super fresh spices carried in a variety of ways. The workers here are just smarter, and the store is more soulful both in appearance and grocery stock. The only thing I would say is I wish Leg Up would put a few of the the Mountain Valley waters in coolers. Sprouts does that and they are the only store besides Radish and Rye that is doing that. And I do not understand when you carry a beautiful product like Mountain Valley water, have some in the fridge!! That will attract people into the store. But when I get out that way, Leg Up is my first priority over Sprouts. Its a better store. Its run better, its prettier, its earthier, the location is better, the offerings are better and the prices are more reasonable. The grass is not greener on the other side. Stay...
Read moreI was in there earlier this week in the afternoon and was excited to check it out for the first time. I moved to the area from Ellicott City MD where there are many organic/healthy living markets so I have something to compare it to.
The store was clean and well stocked but to me the prices were a bit high. One example was the Puffins cereal at $5 a box, Wegmans has it for $3.49. For the most part the produce was good and reasonably priced except for a few wilted bunches of lettuce that dept. was fine. I was also disappointed in the variety of breads since this is one thing you promote on your web-site. Maybe I missed them IDK. Anyone who is price conscious would be wary of shopping here. I did find some decent sale prices but nothing to make me come back since Wegmans is closer to where I live and has a better selection.
The thing that really hit me was the lack interaction from the employees. It was only me and another couple in the store at the time and not one person acknowledged me or even made eye contact. I went past several people in the coffee, deli and pizza kiosks, a lady stocking cheese in the milk section and another lady in the supplement section but none of them even looked at me. That being said the lady at checkout was pleasant. Maybe it's just me but I think your employees should be a little more enthusiastic.
I do like...
