I showed up to this park at the end of the day and it was my fifth or sixth park that day. Be warned, if you are stamp collecting, you may need to bring your own ink. There is an stamp connected to to the memorial. It was out of ink when I went, maybe because it was so hot, or maybe because it's just out sometimes. I'll have to go back. It was a nice statue and I read the plaque about Davis' service. It's quite small, so it's perfect for a small stop on any pass through drive.

This is a great and interesting historical park. There isn't much here other than the Monument and a plaque, but the story is worth the stop. The grounds are very well kept, and it would be a nice spot to rest for a minute or two. If you are in the area, you should check this out.

Herman Davis State Park is the size of a small city park. It is a extremely touching memorial to a brave man. If you are doing to passport, bring a pencil! There is no actually stamp
