Alpine Chocolat Haus — Attraction in Manistee

Ice cream portion only: We visited specifically for ice cream. My biggest complaint was that my mom ordered a pecan turtle and the worker didn’t put pecans on… so we asked for her to put some on and found out they didn’t have any. This is my mom’s once a year treat so she was pretty disappointed. The worker didn’t offer to take any money off or comp it. The rest of us (3 adults) got varying flavors that were all good. I did find it quite expensive however the scoops we received matched the price.

The last time I visited this shop, we waited in line for about 15 minutes. People behind us started getting waited on. Someone asked if we had been waited on, I said no, she gasped and told her fellow employee. They helped my friend and then skipped over me and started working on the people behind me! Same thing happened on my previous visit! It definitely doesn't make me feel good as a customer. I live right around the corner so I'll try again, if I get skipped in service I won't be back.

We love coming here for the honey-lavender and lemon-blueberry ice cream I can’t find it anywhere else. I think we shorted the poor girl there last Saturday evening, I told her to keep the change (coins) then she got confused about what to give us back. So we may have shorted her $3.00 because we both got confused lol I realized it on our way home that our ice creams weren’t $5.00 but $8.00 so sorry about that.
