My wife stopped in to get some treats for us on a drive home. What we got was neither consistently good nor bad.
Let me get the bad out of the way: Overall, anything with white chocolate was merely okay or worse. While everything else we got could at least be finished, the eggnog truffle was one of those things where you take a bite, put down the rest, remove the bite from your mouth, drink half a bottle of water, and still have the taste. Through some experimenting, I narrowed what I didn't like about some of the truffles to the white chocolate. I wouldn't say that I am a fan of white chocolate, but I generally don't DISlike any that I have had. In this case, it was definitely the white chocolate that ruined it for me. Except that eggnog one; it was bad inside and out.
Good: Everything else. We had chocolate dipped Nutter Butter cookies, truffles dipped in milk chocolate, and a few other items. Each of these things was awesome. My favorite, by far, was the dark chocolate turtle. So good! Even some of the white chocolate truffles that I said bad things about have good centers. That turtle was so good, though, that I forgave and nearly forgot the eggnog truffle. I think Candies On Main could stay in business with...
Read moreSo was in this area for a family reunion. While driving down Main Street we saw Candies on Main. We almost didn't see it. When we walked in we we're greeted by an employee. It's a small little shop and there are a couple of places to sit. They have a whole plethora of cake bites and they also have fudge, truffles, lollipops, popcorn ect. They also have about 8 flavors of ice cream. I had a scoop of ice cream which was actually very good. It was soft and tasted fresh. The rest of my family got cake bites, which they loved. We were there with 2 younger boys that could not make up their minds on what they wanted and then after they finally made a decision they would change it. The employees were very nice, helpful and patient. Plus the store was very clean...

Then I discovered this place. Oh my goodness, their chocolate dipped Oreos, ice cream, fudge among others. Worth every penny. Similar to having to have a smoothie when visiting St. George in the summer, I've got to have some chocolate when visiting Manti.
Also during Easter they put coupons in the eggs at the town Easter egg hunt. Pretty sure we've had a free 1 scoop ice cream sitting somewhere for 3-4 years. One day we'll remember to bring it down and clean them out of their popcorn in...
