We've been visiting this beach park for years, and every time is just as amazing as the last! 🤩 There's always something for everyone, and the kids absolutely love it. We make sure to bring plenty of water toys, beach balls, and other fun activities to keep them entertained. 🌟
One of the things that warms our hearts is seeing how generous and kind people can be here. We've had kids approach us asking for food, and we've been happy to share what we have. It's wonderful to see the community come together in this way. 🌈
Of course, like any crowded place, there are some challenges. We've had instances where kids have gotten lost, but it's heartening to see how quickly people step in to help. It's a testament to the kindness of strangers and the importance of community. 🌟
If we have any suggestions for improvement, it would be great to see more attention paid to the restrooms. They can get pretty rough by the end of the day, and it's a shame because it detracts from the overall experience. 🚽 Maybe having a dedicated staff member to keep them clean and stocked would make a big difference?
We also think that implementing a small parking fee could be a good idea. It would help with maintenance and upkeep, and honestly, the park is worth every penny! 🚗
Overall, we highly recommend this beach park to anyone looking for a fun and memorable experience. The positives far outweigh the negatives, and we can't wait to come back again! 🌊🏖️...
Read moreWe were at the beach park. There is also a playground nearby that we didn't see.
It's a cute (well maintained) beach with a dock. The water is divided into 4 sections by floating ropes: wading - 2ft, 2ft- 4ft, deeper (don't know depth), and open water.
At 12 pm lifeguards are on duty till 7pm.
There is a large grassy lawn and paved sidewalk just before the small sandy beach area. The sand is course, with tiny rocks, more comfortable other rocky beaches in the area. The grassy area is large enough to set up a game of volleyball or two. You can find several picnic tables in shaded areas. Bring an umbrella though, as there is only a small section to the side of the beach that is shaded.
There is paddle board rental and a concession stand (icecream), and public restrooms. There is an outdoor shower but it does not work. This is unfortunate given the public notice on swimmer's itch.
I saw this notice about swimmer's itch on the way out. It's no joke. My daughters have those little red welts as a result. You are supposed to rinse right away and scrub your body briskly off with a towel. We had to wait till we got home to bathe the kids, and it was too late, apparently. The 28 itchy welts didn't show up til the next day on one child. And so far only one welt on another of my kids.
We'll probably not go back to this beach park. There are other beach parks we can go to that have working outdoor showers and do not have a public notice on...
