I don’t usually leave google reviews but the experience here forced me to do so. Had an event scheduled for 7/13 and they knew it was going to be a party for 150 people. The venue hall can accommodate up to 200 people (only 82 parking spots / 12 being for handicapped). We were nothing but bothered and embarrassed in front of our guests by the front desk worker and event planner Denise. She came and started counting heads in front of our guests, claimed to shut down the party if we didn’t kick people out, and had the A/C turned off making it super hot in the hall. We tried working with her to move cars to a different location, even though Jennifer (other front desk worker) allowed us to park on the sides and on grass. (They have a parking shortage for the anount of people they can accommodate). Denise was telling our guests to leave or she will call the cops, just being a pest time and time again. She called the director Mark to the venue to handle the “issue”, but when Mark came, he didnt have an issue. We rented the hall from 10am to 7pm. From the beginning of the event, we were consistently bothered and pestered and eventually we sent home our guests out and cleaned (even garbage that was there from previous rental) and ended the party by 4:30PM. We wanted our money back from the unused time of 2.5 hrs and were only refunded for 1 hr, stating that they were not the ones that kicked us out. We did not have more than 150 guests. All in all 0 star experience, embarrased in front of our guests and I do not recommend...
Read moreI went here maybe 4 or 5 times when my first was a year old. Every single time without fail, she would get sick. She's not a thumb sucker and we are big hand washers. She got RSV, Broncialitis, Croup, a cold, and the last time she ended up with a rash. I think it's because the toys aren't being cleaned. Even though I see snotty nosed kids at Discover Playtown, which is down the road my kids still haven't got sick there, probably because they clean things. It's $5 to play here and $10 at Discovery Playtown. It's worth it to me to not go to Mary Bridge with a sick baby every time we want to get out and socialize. Granted, it's been 2 years since then, but I still feel like not much could have changed. Unless someone wants to share...
Read moreThe community center toddler time is different then other toddler times offered close by. Maple Valley Community Center offers a unique space for children to explore through interactive activities while parents are encouraged to enjoy watching children play and visit with a friends over a cup of coffee. All other toddler times I've been to are food free, drink free, with no chairs for adults and just don't have the feel at home vibe. My kids had a great time for only $3.00 for the entire family and that included a little snack for them and Starbucks brewed coffee for me. Well done Maple Valley!! You got toddler...
