I like the park, the size of it and how many toys there are for the dogs. I thought I liked the pepple floor bcs on days that have rained, like yesterday, that means that my dog wouldn't get mud all over herself. Today I was at the park and there must've been close to 20 dogs there. My dog is medium sized about 40lbs pitbull labrador mix, she's very quiet and sweet. I know that dogs like to play rough and running is their favorite thing to do. But it's sad when people don't pay attention and control their dogs. My dog was attacked by larger dogs, they kept running after her and she was running in fear for her life. One dog caught up to her and ended up biting her on the neck and ear. In this case I wish the floor wouldn't be pebbles, sand or dirt would've been better for her paws. She lost a lot of skin on all four paws and have a lot of raw skin patches. Again, I really like this park. I'm very disappointed at the dog owners who don't care and don't control their dogs in this type...
Read morelovely park but the dog owners/walkers that visit this park regularly are not trainers and they have multiple dogs so can't manage all of them at once. every time i have been to this park they are normally present. the park itself is lovely but i do have an issue when owners/walkers have human food with them in the park... i observed a woman walking around feeding her dog human food. he was a big black lab and i saw that he was protecting her. i have a very young curious german shepard that decided to run up to her and see what she had so at that second the dog protecting her lunged at my pup to attack... i saw this happen more than once and with numerous other dogs. i'm afraid since these regulars are always there that i will have to bring my up elsewhere. oh well...it's never the dogs it's the stupid humans!! lol not worth taking the trip to possibly leave with your dog being injured. i've been to this park 5-6 times and my pup has been attacked twice already and always by...
Read moreThis dog park is one of the best we've been to. It has a huge small dog and equally large big dog side completely separate. Both sides have double gates with plenty of room to get in and get your dog settled before releasing them to play. Lots of shade and benches. Plenty of places for the dogs to get water (fountains) and lots of obstacles to play on. The south mountain dog park has a regular community of visitors that know all of the other dogs by name. They are great at helping new visitors get oriented and learn the ropes of a dog park. If it's your first time (or even if it isn't) do some research on dog park ediquete before you go. It will make your experience as well as everyone else's much...
