Great spot to kite and wing foil. At high ride the depth was about 3-4ft about 20yds from shore then it was 5-7ft after that. At low tide for the first 30 to 40 yards from the shoreline it’s barely a foot deep and about 70 yards from the shoreline about 5 feet deep. I was wing foiling using a 75 cm mast and had no problem hitting the bottom or getting up on the foil. It’s about a mile or so of beach that isn’t very wide, but isn’t crowded with tourists either on the beach at all. It’s not necessary to wear water shoes or booties, however I chose to. When walking out mostly the ground is soft sand with grass, but you never know there could be a shell or rock or something sharp as well. Overall great spot and when I returned to the keys, this will be my go to. The parking lot is close to the beach, so loading and unloading gear was easy.

BRING THE PUP.....March visit.... bring the pup and walk along the beach to enjoy the ocean breeze......has public parking and rest rooms...a big plus....its free too....enjoy♡ Caution....in the summer this beach gets tons on washed up seaweed and really gets nasty....but in winter and spring it's super nice!!!!

Kinda ugly and smelled terrible. There was hardly anyone there though so if the smell doesn't bother you it's not bad. Also it's pet friendly so if you're looking to take the dog out for a swim this would be the...
