Bicentennial Camp Picnic Area — Attraction in Marin City

We packed a lunch and drove out to the headlands on New Years Day. I was expecting it to be crowded because it was a holiday - the headlands viewpoint area was crowded as usual, but the picnic spot is just far enough away that it wasn’t nearly as busy… dare I say that it was, well, almost peaceful!! It is well maintained and clean. It was beautiful and had views of the Pacific Ocean. A great spot for an impromptu Bay Area day trip.
