For $4500 or so, you can rent HCFA for your social event. You don't have any flexibility in choosing your own caterer but Katie Powers is really on top of her game. She is easy to work with and anticipates the next step so I didn't have to worry to much coordinating a wedding at HCFA. Plus, the food was phenomenal!
As for the building itself, if you're into offbeat, untraditional venues, this is definitely the place for you. Granted, parking is on a gravel lot and the walls are distressed, but that adds to the charm of HCFA. Read moreExtremely beautiful setting for an outdoor wedding, BUT you may want to consider the wind. Attended my niece's wedding here and vows were very difficult to hear due to the windy weather. (Not sure how often it's that windy, but I'm guessing often, based on it's proximity to the beach.) And an outdoor sound system (to help hear the vows) was 'not allowed' (maybe due to a local sound ordinance?).
Also, there is NO wheelchair accessibility to the upstairs wedding rooms.

Read moreJust a beautiful place. The buildings there are absolutely nostalgic as they are old army barracks. They date back to World War II. A lot of wildlife in the area as well which only adds to the luster of this particular place. There was a wedding in progress there while we were there. So, obviously, somehow, or the other, you can rent a place to have a wedding in! With black and white photography, it would be hard to determine what year the wedding took place in.
