Was the hike challenging? To go to the beach, no - the hike is a simple walk through the flat valley. As a bonus, there were lots of additional trails you can go on if you peel away from the main trail. There were lots of spots overlooking the ocean where you can make a nice picnic on the ground. We also heard some sea creature's noises, but we never found out what it was. The parking for this park area was relatively easy, you can either arrive early and easily nab a spot or just wait for someone to leave if you arrive later in the day. Oh - about the beach, it was a lovely little cove where you can do things like birdwatch or just sit down. There's also a stream and a small pond where you can see ducks. Lots of...

In my opinion one of the best beaches in the Bay Area. It’s a small hike out to the beach from the parking lot. The parking lot fills up quick so get there early if you’re looking to get out on a nice day. If you’re there for the beach you’re in luck because most people go for the gorgeous hiking trails and the beach is often pretty empty. The water is pretty cold, like anywhere else in the Bay Area, but it’s a lot clean than North Beach in SF. So far my favorite beach in...

Nice, easy, and popular hike via a multi-use trail that includes horses, so beware of the fresh piles of manure. The beach itself is small, but clean and very pretty. There is a vault bathroom at the trailhead and another halfway to the beach. The parking lot fills quickly, but many people park along the road leading to the lot (not sure of the legality of this, but it doesn't seem to be an issue), thus making your hike a...

This is not a beach you want to swim in but rather to admire. It is gorgeous. There is a very nice lookout and you can get a great view, but it’s definitely not for children. It is very dangerous up there. Also, two sneaker waves came by which raise my blood pressure. I was pretty far away from the beach and the water still reach me. It’s a 1.8 mile flat walk to the beach from the parking lot.
