Was the hike challenging? To go to the beach, no - the hike is a simple walk through the flat valley. As a bonus, there were lots of additional trails you can go on if you peel away from the main trail. There were lots of spots overlooking the ocean where you can make a nice picnic on the ground. We also heard some sea creature's noises, but we never found out what it was. The parking for this park area was relatively easy, you can either arrive early and easily nab a spot or just wait for someone to leave if you arrive later in the day.
