As a wheelchair user, the handicap spot and equipment would be great IF it could be used by the handicap people it's meant to serve. 1. Parking. It hasn't any for a WHEELCHAIR user or a WAV ramp. Gravel is not okay for wheelchair users. Not everyone has a caregiver. There's no place to park safely. Either the tail end of the van is in the super narrow street or 1 van takes the whole of the gravel. At that most WAV are passenger ramp deployment (which puts us in the street) or rear deployed ramp (gets us stuck in gavel). It's on a hill with only 1 way in. It's sad to have such an amazing thing most towns don't, yet it can't be used for its intended purpose. I can't expect much. Marionville is a place a wheelchair user could make bank on the ADA Violations. The post office isn't even accessible, nor are the very few side walks. Get rid of the ridiculous "apple fest" and stop worrying about dumb squirrels and use the money to fix the town. Put in compliant side walks, a cross walk at the stop light by Casey's, sidewalks along 60 by Sonic, DG, and Apple Market. Oh and hire a dog catcher. So many loose dogs......
