Marlin City Park — Attraction in Marlin

Got to meet Lt. Col. Allen West here on President's Day 2022 (Jan 21). This man embodies the American Spirit. He stated that, "Every combat veteran knows his enemy is not shooting at a color, a religion, or a pronoun; they are shooting at an American." "Texas doesn't need Washington, but Washington surely needs Texas." & "Thr Lone Star shines so bright, it lights up the other 49 stars." He is running for Governor of Texas.

Very beautiful place if it was taken care of like it should be, there's loads and loads of potential for such a beautiful spot, but the pond is clearly way over grown and under kept. The amenities are in dire need of attention, the grounds are under kept. There's so much seaweed in the pond I don't believe the fish are even alive except for minnows and mud guppies. There are no restrooms available...

The park is beautifully shaded, and several places to picnic. I hope soon the city will utilize the park as it should be...a place to have festivities and fun. Needs more places for children to play. Visiting here really makes me think of and miss the...
