Amazing. My toddler loved this place. Great for kids and adults. The lady working today gave us a private tour because we were the only people there for a whole. My daughter petted the turtles, salamander, and snack. My daughter played in the kids area and looked at the other animals in display. We also went outside and explored the pond with the nets. The lady showed us how to find aninals in the different layers of the pond. Amazing place. We spend 2.5 hours, but could easily spend the whole day with slightly older children (my daughter is 1.5 years old). Indoor bathrooms available and clean. They also offer toddler programs o Wednesday morning, a farmers market Friday evenings, and other programs for kids and adults as well.

We had a great visit to the Driftless Area Wetlands Centre. It’s a fun spot for both kids and adults. My 7-year-old loved the turtles, salamander, and snake. He enjoyed checking out all the animals on display especially the small pond. We played in the mud kitchen. That was his favorite part. We stayed about 30 minutes but could have easily spent more time. Such a fun and hands-on place to explore nature.

This was a hidden gem, especially if you have kids that like nature and hands on learning. Short film talks about how this area was not eroded by glaciers, reason for the drift less terminology, and how the land is different and unique to other parts of the world. Hands on exhibits inside and walking trail with activities outside. Staff includes area teachers that have a passion for the area and the topic. Best is it's free. Could spend 1 to...
