War Memorial Park Martinsburg — Attraction in Martinsburg

This is strictly based on the the park itself, not the swimming pool or mini golf.

I think this is one of the best parks in the area for children, and I do really enjoy how there are multiple playgrounds spread out over the entire park and lots of benches for parents to sit. There is also a pavillion if you'd like to have a meal or a smaller party (I'm not sure how that works exactly, if it needs to be reserved or its first come first serve). But be warned that there are parts of the playground that sorely need an update. Today we visited with my children and saw one swing hanging off the chain, and rusted out other parts of the playground. In my eyes this is already a free local activity so I hate to be picky, especially with this being a bigger park, but I hope one day it's able to be updated. The park itself is very scenic!

This is a really nice park in town in Martinsburg WV. Picnic area, mini golf, swimming pool and plenty of playgrounds for the little ones. A nice creek running beside it that my grandkids would rather play in then the pool. June Jubilee this weekend with somthing for the whole family. I'm a people person and enjoy just picking a bench and talking and watching people. There is nothing that will bring a smile to my face then seeing two older people all decked out in their Sunday best walking together holding hands, they are still making love to each other in style. Dedicated to the memory of war and I suppose the ones who fought in them. Meticulously maintained, this is a beautiful park. Picnic pavilions, a stream with Ducks, playgrounds for children, Mini Golf, great pool. . . It is a pleasant place to visit over and over again, a green gem in a Martinsburg, WV.

This time of year (Mid September), the park is more subdued, quieter. Children have gone back to school, the pool is closed. . .
