Todo excelente pero destaco el personal del hostel, Ezequiel, Micaela, Matt, David y todo el equipo. Sin dudas mas que recomendado. Tienen actividades gratis todos los días y el ambiente es super bueno

Stayed three nights at Howitz Hostel. The place is okay. Their major selling point would probably be the daily excursions they offer, but warning, it's a different thing each day of the week, so if you're set on doing one of them you have to be there the day before that excursion in order to sign up for it (there is very limited room), and then of course the day of to go. Important to note (since this info is not very available on their website or Hostels.com), this place is NOT in any way accommodating to someone with disabilities. There are multiple steps, levels and floors to the place. the hallways and bathrooms are also very small, the ladders on the bunks are narrow metal rungs. Beds are okay but very basic. Pretty comfortable but bare-bones squeaky metal bunks. Rooms basically have the bunks, a portable A/C unit and a few plug ins. No shelving, no lockers, no curtains on beds. They only provide two light-weight sheets and a pillow, but you can ask for a blanket. When staff were cleaning the bed next to mine, they used mine as a place to set the pillows and sheets from the other bed while they were replacing them. My eye mask also went missing during this time. The bathrooms are constantly ridiculously warm and humid. I took cold showers every day and still started sweating the second I turned the water off. It's almost like there are heaters in them. This place is surface level clean at times. Other times it's very messy and dirty, depending on time of day and usage of the areas. If you look beyond the surface level, some people would consider it, I don't want to say filthy, but filth-adjacent? They do offer pancakes and coffee in the morning, but only from 6:30am-8:30am and it's pretty basic. Security is pretty good; you get assigned a unique code to use for the front door and your room, but the locks can be very finicky. You sometimes have to enter the code 3-4 times for it to actually work (staff had the same problem when letting me in the room so this is not user error). Location is pretty good. There are some really fun shops and restaurants within a few blocks, airport, beaches, loading dock for snorkeling are all about 15 minutes drive. Bonus; there are washer/dryers. They only take cash/quarters and staff cannot charge a card and give you cash for them. All this being said, would stay here again. Pro tip; having three towels for a beach trip is ideal. One for the shower, one to dry off at the beach, one to sit on at the beach or pool.
