This Buddhist temple belongs to Jodo Shu which was founded by Honen Shonin in 1175. The temple was originally founded in Puunene in 1910 and moved to the current location. Current temple building was built in July 1969. Members are very kind, friendly and hard workers. Their hospitality is always amazing. Maui no ka oi....is true.
