Kinzua Point — Attraction in Mead Township

My father and I had a wonderful experience at the information center. Linda and Lynne were so incredibly helpful and told us about so many points of interest. There were a ton of complimentary brochures and maps available. We stopped at this information center at the end of our vacation, but with all the new information shared by these awesome ladies, we can't wait to come back and see more! Beautiful overlook of the headwaters of the Allegheny River, what the locals call the Casey Bridge, the Kinzua boat harbor, and of course the Allegheny National forest. The roadside rest/information area has very clean restrooms and tons of info on local and area attractions. Well worth a stop for the info but the scenery will amaze people that are seeing it for...

Decent overlook of the lake however for a stunning view head up the hill and take a little hike at jakes rocks or at rimrock. From this overlook though you can see some of my favorite areas where we boat up to rocks or cliffs and climb up to jump in the lake. Nothing too crazy but still a lot of fun.
