The Old Town Hall History Center was built in 1908 by the Melbourne Beach Improvement Company. This company constructed all the streets and the building in the town. Imagine building on an undeveloped, overgrown marshland in a time with minimal technology, crazy right. This building was actually saved from demolition in 2001, when locals pushed to save the building to preserve the history behind the walls, it was also moved twice and one of those times on water. Definitely worth checking out. For me I love seeing the preserved history and envisioning what it was like to live in that time. A few local historians devoted their love and care into the collaboration of what you see today. It's only open Saturday from 11am to 3pm so plan your visit according.
