Depending on the type person you are, if you Don't have kids I'd say some may give this a 3 or 2 maybe 4 Stars, depending? However, if you have children it's a cool place to go! I've been going here literally all my life since 1.5 months old. We could walk to the Northern End of Pine Banks Park in 10 to 15 minutes Respectfully cutting thru Forestdale Cemetery on the Tar Roads except when a bunch of kids we may have accidentally or unknowingly walked across people's burial sites that were very grassy so a little kid doesn't look for 5 or 10 head stones in a new burial area, you know? Not much to do in the most Northern point of Pine Banks except 4 or 5 picinet baskets Yogi, no have a BBQ in a sm. area with tables with a lil road that makes a circle around the entire area from Southern Gate to Northern Entrance/Exit. By the exit, off to the North end are about 4 Huge what used to be Baseball Diamonds now Double as Soccer Fields, before you see them driving from BBQ Area there's & hopefully still is a BMX mostly Bike Racing Circle/Trail. Remember bring the kids from parking lot down the road from BBQ Area the Goats are a couple hundred feet away & up the hilly tar road. Up further there's (if memory serves me correctly more Animals I.E. a Peacock, different birds I see skunk like creatures but wouldn't know a Possum if it bit me on the cheek or butt cheek. Memories la da da da da da,€¥¡~` Memories Please bring the babies to the medium size lake/pond & read the Volcano sign, that's how the Lake was formed thousands (if not more time ago). They have Santa there around Christmas Time One a Bob Burgess used to live in the only house on site what's got to be 3 - 4 square miles. I hope his family does still. 1 of my MPD Aux. years I froze doing Traffic detail which our job was to help cross the families to & from Santa's House & the elve's Bob is or was a Great Guy with a Great Family with me was Captain Hench (now Chief Hench if alive, & active) & Sgt. Robert Rollins another great cop. Captain taught me most everything I know & he literally saved my life with his knowledge once maybe twice! Go, especially if you have kids, did I mention the huge Slide,...
Read moreThis lovely, well-maintained park is a real jewel to its communities. Shared by the cities of Malden and Melrose, its walking paths, playground, track, and sports fields are constantly in use. The dog park is huge, clean, and very popular. It needs a water source, so dog owners don't have to bring their own and maybe a few more benches. Thankfully, park management has planted saplings around the periphery of the dog park, as there is currently no shade, except in the early morning. Overall, I feel extremely fortunate to live near such a terrific...
Read moreIt's a nice park offering many activities for many interests . It's good for a picnic, a little nature hike, and a decent playground and a cool pond with plenty of ducks. There is also a cool track and field which is family friendly as there are always many kids on bike riding through it and accompanied by parents enjoying a stroll. There is also a foot ball field and base ball field as well.
I only wish that the park is bigger. I can walk around the park in about 10-15 minutes so I don't get much of a workout as...
