Mendakota Park — Attraction in Mendota Heights

I took my grandsons to a soccer practice at this park at dinnertime. It worked well because the older one could practice with his team, while the four year old could play close by at the playground. I could be sitting under a covered picnic area while watching both children. It was a great set up for evening weekday sports for families. Great park! It has a huge baseball feild. It has a soccer feild. Beautiful playground for kids to play with lots of slides, swings, musical equipment built in, lots of different was to get up on the equipment ie. Ramp, net, stairs...etc. monkey bars. Sand diggers. This park also has a big free shelter area to sit in shade or have a party at. It's well kept. Pretty to look at with trees and grass everywhere but not overwhelmingly. An awesome playground for all ages. Fun, mind engaging activities. A small area for 1-3 and a larger area for 3-12. For those who are handicapped they have a swing and a few slides that are handicap accessible. They also have a sand pit with diggers and a water area for the sand. Plenty of picnic space...
