After being raised going here and to Falls Baptist Academy for many years of my life I couldn't have been more relived to finally cut ties, cancel my membership, and stop attending False Baptist Church. This church has scared me for life and destroyed my family. So many times I have cried over all the terrible things that have happened to me over my years attending this church and academy. First off, this place is 100% a cult as by definition the church's goal is get as many people to join in order to form and shape them into being the perfect little robots that they become following every rule and regulation down to the tiniest minute thing. The staff are incredibly overbearing making you feel like your walking on eggshells and in fear that they are standing around the corner just waiting for you to mess up so they can punish and correct you and show you how righteous they all are. It is not healthy place to be at all. Some of the many religious ideas and rules taught include spanking children by inappropriatly exposing their private parts from the time they are toddlers to when they are past 18 years old, all TV that isn't rated G is sinful and not to be viewed, any type of music other than classical and/or classical Christian is a sin, women wearing pants and men wearing shorts is greatly looked down upon, as well as the typical demanding absolute obedience to all the rules without question. What is interesting and rather funny is that for the most part the only people that follow all those rules are the ones with family members working on staff at the church. Nearly half the members/attendees have to try to hide all these normal human things that are so strictly taught against causing shame and guilt over doing something innocent like watching a PG movie or wearing shorts on a summer day. The church teaches we are all "brothers and sisters" in Christ but yet when they find out you aren't following one of those rules man it's like your the worst sinner on earth! The Academy and music school is all woven in and only amplifies things and makes them a lot worse. The principal and most of the teachers are extremely stuck up and have very little heart or urge to help the students who are put through very stream lined difficult courses with poor teaching and then required to be at all sorts of time consuming music practices and non-class related activities and still get good grades and be on time for everything. It's exhausting! Plus you'd better believe they are going to hound about going to Baptist College of Ministry and/or doing some type of ministry for your full time occupation throughout your years growing up there. If you even so much as indicate you are not interested in that look out because you will get destroyed! There is so much judgement and pressure at the school and church that it is absolutely sickening. No to mention all the countless cover-ups of those who have left due to the church mishandling abusive situations or even causing it themselves. Do not be deceived by the marketing ploys, big productions, and appearance of the place to find joy, happiness, and peace through God. That may get people in but eventually you will discover it was all sham, hopefully not before irreputable...
Read moreI attended Falls Baptist Church on an invite from one of the church members canvassing through my neighborhood. As voiced by a previous person the church members we're not very welcoming at all. When I went to visit the church the parking lot attendees faces were scolding most of the time. As I entered the church no one greeted me or said hello. I only attended Sunday school and rarely stayed for church service. The lady who befriended me as my Sunday school teacher was very nice and receptive. I never felt comfortable attending this church. Because I felt I needed to have a spiritual uplifting in my life I attended Sunday school at Falls Baptist Church for about year. The church was divided into two different sections of services. There was a section where those being cleansed for the spiritual life was taught and trained separately. I never saw them in the sanctuary or in the "regular Sunday school classes. The church was extremely sexist, I felt unattached women were not welcome in the church. I felt I was sort of excepted due to the fact I was married. I attended Sunday School at that church for over a year and members of the church would still ask "are you new here". Never quite figured out who or what they were about. I left shortly after my Sunday School teacher transferred to the other section of the church which they called the resurrection...
Read moreI'm a Black man from the Milwaukee/ Chicago area where I grew up virtual around no White's. Of course with the exception of school teachers. Then I was invited to Falls, where I meet JESUS! This was 25 years ago, (when racism really existedđ). I can only tell you that immediately I became part of the family at Falls. I was thinking back to a Dr and his wife that lived in ,(Racist Brookfieldđ) of all places. They would take me and my brother and another friend to their home often and just have a good family time. We all had our own rooms all the food we could eat and play video games... All the things teens love about life. But most I remember him.. the Dr, for his encouraging me to read my Bible and Pray... the most important things we did while at their home. Where would I be without my...
