Really not too fond of this place so I am working on finding a new one. The only good thing about this location was a dr. Sands and he moved away (and good for him!). The thing that really annoys me about this place is that they act like the drs. Here are celebrities or something and we a pressured to make appointments we cant for sure keep because they legit tell you "if you dont make one, you may not get one because the dr. Will be booked out into next year." In all my years going back and forth to drs for my issues I have never had receptionists act this way about their drs. Its incredible really. So because Im an adult and I work, I tell them to just give me a few days to get my new schedule so I can set up an appointment accordingly, and I am always hit with "well you should schedule now. This dr is really good and is booked up to next year." Which is clearly not true if they want me to schedule something for next week...and if you do have to cancel, I was legit told by a physician that they will "discharge" me as a patient because they dont have time to "deal with" cancellations because they are so popular and are booked for years. Lol then they try to tell you all hospitals are like that-they are not. Dont believe them. Other hospitals are actually focused on helping people. Urgent care is a joke. I went there is extreme pain, was told by the Dr. That she didnt know why I was hurting and instead of trying to figure it out like a normal urgent care or ER, she discharged me and told me to go to walgreens and get some tylenol. I went to another hospital and saw a dr who wasnt even urgent care, his specialty was ear nose and throat care, and he immeadiately new what was wrong and got me feeling better. Btw, my issue had nothing to do with my ears nose or throat yet he knew right away...I always thought ER/urgent drs. Were trained across the board to help everything in the moment but not at this clinic! They solve things by saying, I dont know, go buy tylenol. Its great that they found a gig where they can do the bare minimum to help people and or pretend they are far to busy to help people when it is literally their only job and get...
Read moreThe worse lab department I have ever dealt with and I get blood drawn on a regular basis due to my RA at the labs on Town Hall rd.. Two attempts were made to get my draw done first one they had told me the orders were not in and I would need to have my primary send it after seeing my pulmonologist. (Never did she tell me I needed to make an appointment) Apparently they don't recognize their profession. Then I sent a message after I got home to my Dr office explaining my experience, she was mad and had said they were in the system well before I tried to check in for the draw and the lab should've taken my blood. She asked me to drive back down the 72 miles and try again, so I did then to be told I need an appointment! Maybe they should call all these patients and schedule the appointments if that's what they are requiring now! The receptionist did say they would try to squeeze me in but to come to the desk if I haven't been seen in 20 minutes. So I sat down and watched three sets of patients who came after me get their labs done. Then heard these lab techs talk about their personal lives after all the while sitting there waiting. Clearly they are not busy enough. After 30 minutes I got up the same receptionist, lobby empty and stated that this was taking too long. I needed to leave so my hubby could go back to work he was sitting in the car with my grand daughter. Another receptionist got up to go back to check because at this point I told them I had waited 40 minutes and couldn't wait any longer. She said they would be right out to get me. Well after listening to the lab techs once again talk about what they were doing tonight and their personal lives another ten minutes and they took two more different people who had come in after me I walked out and said I was done trying.I sent a message with my experience to my Doctor and told her I would get my blood taken at Aurora and you get the labs from them because I no longer have faith...
Read moreDr. Vikhria is a 5 star dr. I'd trust him as our family pediatrician and family intern. I recommend him. He has a great personality and is very easy to talk to. My opinion is He's not an intern for chronic conditions and diseases he's great with them except he has to heavy of a patient case load. The problem with North Hills is with the staff. The schedulers don't prioritize at all. Messages relayed to nurses and messages all the nurses relay to the Dr is given poorly, partially or not given at all, and not in context if it is. I specify who will call me back or I wait till the next visit. There's a nurse there that's been there for a long time, she makes you tell everything and then try to play a Dr's role and literally makes the Dr decision what she thinks and then tells the dr what she processed out of it so when you compare notes with the dr its completely different, not accurate with important things left out. Every Dr says the same thing about her but she's still there. It reflects on their Dr's unfortunately. I had a bone and marrow biopsy separately. my hip still has pain and drainage . Requested an mri dr agreed forgot then ordered an xray. The Dr's assistant with the carefree, careless additude calls me and says nothing's wrong. Because a guessed test comes back not showing anything doesn't mean the symptoms or condition isn't there. When I went back to get the orthopedic referral. she suggested that I should use my chart instead of coming in to talk about conditions in person as if I come to often and don't need to. Seriously???? I have serious medical problems and you have to be seen in person for a lot of stuff. What would make her feel comfortable to say that to a Dr's patient???? A lot of people obviously rather see the dr instead of using my chart. Makes me wonder!
I'm having a serious bleeding problem, I'm having to wait till next week. I'll see what happens and comes of it and come...
