A large park with many different features and a great historical significance for Menomonie. Most of the original Wakanda park is out under water from the beach, destroyed by the Menomonie hometown leadership for the purpose of a larger lake and deeper lake that would draw tourists and dollars. From the high mounds on the south end, while most were lost from the lake level raising, other remnants of the old park might still be found today. Nearby other things of interest, the waterpark, the Lions Club game park, many baseball fields, and the elementary school that sits on the site of an old drive-in movie theater, as well as the Dunn County historical society, all add to the large expansive recreational treasure of Wakanda park.
