Bike riding trail is very nice. Newest segment now complete. Trail is nicely finished with lighting and trimmed grassy sides, bridges and benches. I wish more of it was complete versus using on road segments. Bit it will draw more users and tourists. We enjoyed it on our bikes.

Beautiful area. Amazing for taking pictures. All around very relaxing area. Kind of makes you feel like you're outside of the city and into the natural world, that of which most normally do not always appreciateor have part in due to busy lives.

This is a good trailhead. There are two spots to put canoes or kayaks in to paddle the Wisconsin River. Both require a decent carry or drag to the water. Wheels are a good idea.

My wife and I enjoy biking and walking on this trail. Many beautiful views of the Wisconsin River. Many benches to take in those views. Many interesting plaques containing historical information about the area. The Ballyhoos restaurant is only a few blocks off of the trail. If you are willing to perambulate along a part of the trail that is a bike lane along public roads, you can get back onto another secluded part of the trail at the Merrill Area Recreation Complex that leads to the entrance of the Council Grounds State Park. Nice place to visit if you have a little time or a lot of time. Bring your children or grandchildren because there are lots of side trails that go down...

Love it! Great walking/biking trail. Always friendly people on the trail. Lots of families and dogs, but people with animals there seem to really respect others and keep their animals in control. Lots of benches for resting and majority of the trail is lit at night. All new smooth blacktop makes for easy walking, even with...

Stupid ideology and a waste of money when you think something like a walking trail will bring more people and jobs to this community. Its this kind of wastefulness that has actually caused the younger folks to leave this city for better opportunities. People brag that Merrill is peaceful. So...
