River Bend Trail — Attraction in Merrill

My wife and I enjoy biking and walking on this trail. Many beautiful views of the Wisconsin River. Many benches to take in those views. Many interesting plaques containing historical information about the area. The Ballyhoos restaurant is only a few blocks off of the trail. If you are willing to perambulate along a part of the trail that is a bike lane along public roads, you can get back onto another secluded part of the trail at the Merrill Area Recreation Complex that leads to the entrance of the Council Grounds State Park.
