This store fits right into the small town atmosphere. You might actually be surprised when you walk in with all the different products that they actually offer. Anything from gardening to painting exterior or interior, Name brand tools just about any accessory that you will need to Get the job done. They have a garden house in the back during the summer, with many different plants and varieties of flowers. They make keys which you don't find very ofthen unless you're at a big box store. I have found within the last year that the customer service isn't the same as it always was before. For when you used to walk into the store, you were always greeted with a smile by one of the workers. I do miss this...

Why go here? The people are the best. Bending over backwards to get you the exact thing you need. Be it a tool or that 1 odd little bolt. You are treated like a king no matter what you are looking for. Sure, they are a smaller store than a Merands and a bit pricier, but buying local, a knowledgeable staff, awesome service and being able to get that one item you need and get back to your project without spending half a day driving to Wausau, fighting the crowds, trying to find someone who works there to answer a question or help find something, well you get my point. I went in today to get samples of colors for my son's room. They were helpful, but not friendly. I was having small talk as it was 6 colors so it was taking a bit, but my attempts at time passing conversation wasn't returned with anything but sound effects. Also there wasn't any of the neutral tint left so they switched kinds but failed to tell me it was more expensive. It's fine here if you have simple questions, don't make small talk or don't need help. The lady at the register was pleasant and chatty but....maybe it's because she was a woman in a mans...
