My experience with Dr. Miranda and her entire team was absolutely exceptional. From the moment I walked in, the front desk staff (Taleah) welcomed me with warm smiles and were incredibly helpful with scheduling and paperwork, making everything so easy and stress-free. The nurse practitioners (Tomas & Karen) was also fantastic—they were attentive, kind, and took the time to answer my questions and gather details, making sure I felt heard and understood. Dr. Miranda was the highlight of my visit. She was incredibly compassionate and took the time to listen to my concerns and explain my treatment options in a way that was both clear and reassuring. The entire team truly goes above and beyond to create a supportive and caring environment. I can’t recommend Dr. Miranda and her wonderful team highly enough! They all made a potentially stressful experience into a positive and uplifting one. Thank you!

I made an appointment online and came in 10 minutes before the appointment. The lobby was completely empty and I was immediately discriminated against by the staff because I was accompanied by my service animal. I was immediately directed to go into a back room to check in and wait because I had my Service dog. They would not allow me to sit in the lobby for some reason. The first excuse for the discriminatory action by the staff was for other patients potential allergies to my service dog. Although there were Zero other patients in the waiting room at this time. It was vacant. I was the only Person besides the staff present in the facility. I stated to the staff my Service Dog is fully trained and is mandatory medical equipment to me and my disability. After further arguing the next excuse is they don’t want patients to walk in and out of the lobby to outside. Why does this matter? What purpose does this serve? If I need to go outside for a minute while I wait that is my right regardless if my service dog is with me or not. I had a complete medical ptsd panic attack, cried, and started to breakdown. This immediately caused me further severe pain. My sole purpose for this visit was to help me with this pain because I could not get into my pain management center today. Yet the front staff decided to make it worse within the first 2 minutes of stepping into the building. All I needed was them to help me with this pain. I have severe TMJD(Jaw degenerative and prosthetic joint) issues talking and crying cause excess pressure in my head, jaw, ears, throat, ect. Pressure, talking, arguing, anxiety, will increase this pain extensively. Consistent arguing from the blonde receptionist and supposedly the manager on phone..... essentially telling me it’s the managers policy to isolate disabled people and their medically required service animals from the open public was extremely hurtful to say the least. The doctor was nice but I could hear the nurse and the front desk talking about me behind my back and about my service dog. All I needed was a toradol shot and I got a complete ptsd breakdown too. You don’t know why people need SA’s and mine does so many things for me that I can’t leave the house without her. I was further questioned beyond the legalities that all medical staff should be professionally trained in. If you have a service dog be warned, they will discriminate against you and try to take your rights away. I deal with enough already out of my control. All I ask is for people to be nice and respect my legal rights with the SA who takes care of me everyday. She has been to 100’s of Dr. appointments. 10X More than most people will have to go to in there entire lives. She accompanied me in my Lyft rides to and from the urgent care. I could not drive due to my extremely bad day and having to take medicine to get to the urgent care for further help.

Shame on the front staff and manager. I hope Banner Health looks into any type of discrimination further including this. In the past I have had more issues with Banner Health Facilities than any other medical provider companies. Always issues with uneducated and/or non...

Edit 6/1/23: I’ve always been happy coming to this urgent care. They’re fast and efficient and always get me in. Until yesterday left me a bit frustrated after I left. I brought my daughter in for an ear infection. Along came my other 2 girls. Dr. Johns was the physician we saw. His comment about me having all girls was inappropriate saying he feels bad for me that I have girls and that boys are easier. I’m so sick and tired of people especially a doctor, saying this comment like it’s okay! It’s disgusting behavior and these comments from old men need to stop!! I couldn’t say what I really wanted to say because I’m a better example to my girls than that and I’ll just leave this right here instead because I doubt if I call they’ll do anything about it. He really should retire because his thinking is outdated along with the second issue we had. Second, he prescribed drops for her ear infection that were not covered by insurance Costing $320! I have never had this happen before and I was extremely frustrated to arrive at Walgreens (which got sent to the wrong pharmacy at first after I specifically told the nurse that cvs doesn’t take her insurance but he assured me they did. They didn’t so I had to call to have it swiched twice because Walgreens didn’t get it the first time so it took a while for all of this. My husband drive to cvs first before we found this out) at 8:30 pm for them to tell me it’s not covered and they close at 9 and this urgent care was already closed as well so I couldn’t call to have them call in a different one. We needed the drops right away as my daughter was in pain already. So we made another trip at 9:30pm to another urgent care. They knew by looking at our insurance which one to prescribe that was covered. After picking up the right prescription we didn’t get home till 11pm. My daughter was hurting and exhausted.

Previous review: I’ve been here several times and always had good care. I know lots of places are busy and understaffed and figured there would be a long wait to get in. It was a 2 hour wait which was understandable during this time. I was able to be put on their wait list and they called when to come back. Everyone was super sweet and helpful. It was actually very surprising how kind and great spirited everyone was, even more so than the other times I’ve been in. I don’t have complaints about other urgent cares, but this location has some really awesome people working here! Loved it...

Called in to make an appointment WELL ahead of time. The scheduled appointment was at 2:45, wasn’t able to be seen for the booked appointment until around 5:00pm. This location was a complete disaster. If you make an appointment, be well aware that you are going to watch walk ins who showed up hours after your scheduled appointment be seen ahead of you. Front desk attendants had no idea what was going on and when asked about how much longer we were going to be sitting there, no information besides “i think pretty soon” were given. And it was not “pretty soon”.

Just don’t allow booked appointment times if you aren’t going to make any effort to make it even near that time.

Ended up spending over 4.5 hours at banner before we left for a few easy quick tests. After the massive amount of wasted time, the staff informed us that my Covid test would not come in until the next day because they don’t have rapid testing even though it’s a medical Center. Called again today to get my test results like the staff said would be ready today and they told me it would be maybe three more days.

As we were then sitting and waiting for an additional 45+ minutes to be seen once we were in the patient room, it was beyond frustrating because the walls are so thin that you can hear the rest of the staff of medical personnel out in the main area chatting about personal things, messing around, singing, and doing everything but getting to their patients in a timely manner. No one is in a hurry to help anyone despite a full waiting room of frustrated sick/injured people with an astronomical wait time, even for scheduled visits.

Just an absolute waste of time and resources. Go to a different urgent care. You could literally hop on a plane and fly to one in a different state and fly home and still spend less time waiting. I tested positive for strep, the doctor sent the prescription to the wrong location which made getting the meds a pain, and to top it all off, the front staff submitted the wrong info to the banner health portal so even when they do get around to processing my test. I can’t view the results. Ended up just spending the extra money to go to Walmart to get a rapid text because dealing with the staff here apparently is an Olympic sport...
