I've been to Crandon Beach three times- but my last two visits (especially my most recent one) was incredibly disappointing. I went on Father's Day with a friend, and the parking was absolutely insane. $10, but I've seen worse in Miami. The walk from the parking lot to the beach is also a lot, you have to pass through barbecue areas which were insanely crowded with trash all over the floor. Restrooms were DISGUSTING with half an inch of liquid on the floors. Everyone playing different music at once and screaming, it was just way too much. When we got to the beach, a couple leaving offered me and my friend their paid rental chairs and umbrella, which I greatly appreciated on a hot day. Unfortunately, I also went during low tide around 3 pm, so it was impossible to cool off- people were walking a half mile out and the water still wasn't up to their knees. My complaint is the amount of seaweed was ridiculous, all over the shore- mixed with the litter and Father's Day craziness, beach staff should've been more proactive during the weekend to help clean up the place. The ocean floor is also all seagrass- literally no spots with just sand over here, so it was uncomfortable to stand or sit- all grassy. If you're looking for a place to relax that is clean and also not overridden with seaweed in Key Biscayne, I suggest going to Bill...

This park and beach has a little bit of everything and is comfortably distanced from the heavy traffic and congestion of the city itself. The two-mile stretch of beach is constantly hitting top ten lists of the most beautiful beaches in Miami.
It's a combination of things that make Crandon Beach so amazing, the pristine white sand, the calm ocean water, ocean breeze, coconut palm trees, and ample parking and picnicking areas.
There’s plenty to do in this beautiful family friendly beach whether you want to enjoy the beach, a picnic, walk, or relaxing under a tree reading a book.
Please note this is NOT a dog friendly beach.
Enjoy and have...

Crandon Beach is hands down one of my favorite spots in Miami. It’s off the beaten path, which means fewer tourists and more of a laid-back, local vibe. The beach itself is wide and clean, with plenty of space to spread out, chill, or toss a frisbee.
What really sets it apart is the crowd—mostly locals, and yeah, beautiful women everywhere. It’s the kind of place where you can relax, people-watch, and feel like you’re part of the real Miami scene.
Parking’s easy, there are shady palm trees if you need a break from the sun, and the water is usually calm and perfect for a swim. Just bring snacks—food options are limited unless there’s a pop-up.
If you’re tired of the chaos of South Beach, Crandon is...
