I went with a big group, and unfortunately, our experience was almost ruined by the owner's rudeness. When we started asking about the paella—since the menu lists a price for a personal portion, but you actually have to order for two—the waiter was very nice and answered all our questions. However, the owner overheard and rudely interrupted, taking over the conversation. He then told us to form a second line and got upset when he realized we were a group making three separate orders.
It took 1.5 hours to bring out the third paella, so by the time it arrived, the rest of the group had already finished eating. When my friend tried to cancel the order due to the delay, the owner refused in a rude manner and insisted he would personally bring it out. After waiting even longer, he finally arrived with the paella, but instead of apologizing for the delay, he sarcastically said, ‘Now you can say this is the worst place.’
The setup is like a fast-food restaurant, but with upscale prices. Everything is served on plastic plates and utensils, you have to stand in line under the sun to order, and then pick up your drinks and food one by one when they are ready. Overall, it's fast-food-style service at fine-dining prices—definitely...
Read moreDon’t come around 4pm on Sundays. Paellas run out around this time. I had contacted the owner to see if we could reserve and he had warned me that there might be delays which we were fine with. When we got to the stand he didn’t have paellas left. We still stayed cause the ambiance was nice and still got a good amount of food and drinks. When the owner came around we had mentioned we messaged him and he got every defensive and did not even acknowledge that we stated we were just asking what we should do to get a paella next time and he kept saying he didn’t agree with us and what we were saying. He didn’t let me speak or anything. Very rude not even thanking for even staying and still consuming. Was going to come back another day but honestly now with this treatment definitely not coming back. Get there early just in case it’s busy cause they take an hour to get you the paellas. And note my mom really wanted to come to celebrate...
Read moreWe called before going to ask if they had space for 2 people, they said yes, so we drove 45 minutes. Wen we arrived they lady told us that we cannot buy 2 paellas (one for each) it had to be a minimum of FOUR paellas.. otherwise she can’t take our order. She said that if we waited 1 hour and 30 minutes she can do paella for 2…… Very disappointed because they could have told us this through the phone, also I don’t think is fair that if we are 2 people we have to buy 4 paellas.. and I’m not even talking about how the lady was speaking to us. we also paid $11 parking for nothing.
Something I’ll like to add, based on the price they offer the atmosphere and “decor” didn’t look to its level.
Instead we came to KEBO in key biscayne as well, they received us with a table ready, incredibly nice service, for...
