I'm really upset that they took the mulberry trees down, and I don't see why they should have because they were healthy when last viewed by myself. Kill something while it's still alive while providing food for wildlife as well as people to enjoy? Doesn't make any sense. It's like throwing the baby out with the rag that you dried him with. But let's get to the real important part of this park: the name of it. Firefighters go unnoticed in their daily lives, firefighters risk their life almost on a daily basis to save your family while leaving their family wondering if they will return. You do so much for us, we do so little for you. And I grew up alongside of family of firefighters. When that bell rang, and by the time that it wrapped its second dong with his clapper, them kids were running out of that house as fast as they could go. And I really admired those folks, who are upstanding citizens to this day. I've never said this to them, but thank you very much, Bartlesons. You and young Tyler who live next to you, and all the other guys that come racing around either on a bicycle or on foot and made that quarter mile trip to the Firehouse faster than the fastest dragster. To do what? Risk THEIR life saving other's property. I could never pay you enough in a monetary manner or the way I protract my forever grateful gratitude. May God always shine...
Read moreThe park is wonderful! The play equipment was all replaced and now includes 2 "Mommy & Me" swings. If I had a complaint it would be the handicap swing is missing it's buckle/latch but still usable. Cute little music station with plastic drums, slides and plenty to climb on. My 3yr old could do most things (beside some ladders and monkey bars) but was fully autonomous. The basketball courts are redone and have nice lighting, the baseball field was also cleaned up. It got a really nice face lift. I do run into gangs of tweens but always kind and allow the kids to play. Overall it's a great spot to spend some energy and make friends. They have port-o-potties but well kempt!!! Despite the handcapped swing missing its latch it's perfect. Great for all ages. The tennis courts are also lite up but didn't walk over to see if it was repaved. People were playing tennis so must be usable. Overall, it's a great...
Read moreTownship opened up some beautiful pickleball courts! My coworkers and I were excited to play here, but the local pickleball club has reservations at peak hours every day of the week. They wanted us each to pay $63 to play on public courts that they have a daily monopoly on. They turned us away after having us speak to their manager (we got reverse Karen-ed)! Absolute joke when local taxes paid for these courts and they're not even usable. Some odd country club rules for an open-to-the-public park. Recommend playing at other courts without these...
