Shumai Wok — Restaurant in Penndel

We normally order from happy star but wanted to try a new (to us) place. We order shrimp & garlic, shrimp lo mein, Gen Tao chicken, egg rolls, Rangoon, Oranges Chicken, scallion pancake and it came with free sesame balls.

The white rice was good. The coke I ordered was also good. Everything else just tasted odd. I dont know if it's the oil they use but my whole family couldn't eat the food. The egg rolls and Rangoon tasted rancid. The Gen Tao chicken was edible but it just wasn't good. It had zero flavor.

The lo mien was bland. The garlic sauce smelled old, I don't know whats going on with the sesame balls but this ain't it!

The list goes on 😐 I basically just threw away $60

I will not be ordered back here again. I read good reviews before ordering as well so im bummed it sucked so...

Coming into the restaurant I see many people waiting for their orders and everyone looked like they were super busy which I expected because of Christmas. Despite being busy, the girl at the front desk immediately noticed me and asked for my order. The wait for my order was long but when I received my order they apologized politely and gave me a free soda. All the customers had to wait near the door and weren’t allow to go any further(which is acceptable because of the uprising Covid cases) but the worker was very kind. She offered me to sit down and wait. Everyone had very positive energy and were happy to help even though they were rushed by the heavy loads of phone calls and orders. Overall great experience and they did a great job handling the busy situation. 10/10 WOULD...

This place is so rude and unreal. My food showed up way later than expected and was completely burnt. I didn’t even take pictures because I threw it out right away. I didn’t even want to give the soup a try. I called back no answer called again so twice I called nothing kept ringing and ringing. Then I called the following day which was a Tuesday they are closed I called twice thinking they would be in the building or something and nothing. Finally called on Wednesday they hung up on me after I explained my situation and told me nothing can be done since it was on Monday, when I told them I tried to call back I didn’t get a response and then I tried to call twice the following day and nothing so how is that my fault.
