we recently visited Sandy Hook, and it's an awesome place to spend a day. With a $20 entry fee per car, you get access to a clean and safe park with plenty of beach space and parking for everyone.
A Natural and Peaceful Escape Sandy Hook offers so many different spots to explore. The beaches are clean and peaceful, and the water on the inside hook is calm. Lifeguards are alert and helpful, which is a great comfort. It's also a cool place to see natural habitats for birds and other wildlife. For a truly special view, I recommend making your way to the end of the peninsula to see the Brooklyn Bridge and the New York City skyline.
History and More The area is also rich with history, as it used to be Fort Hancock, the first proving ground of the U.S. military. There are also nice trails that wind through forests of holly.
