Disclaimer: I grew up in hawaii with banging beaches and waves everywhere.

With that said these beaches are not legit, rather they man made inlets with very poor waves to deal with. But being where it's and the lack of a real beach anywhere on island makes it the go to place for local sufers. Your not getting any tunnels or some gnarly riptides like islanders are used to so outs a safe spot for beginners.

Parking is limited so if your coming in the summer get ready to wait to get there and make sure you got enough cash. Winter its free.

Recently they remodeled the beach head parking lot to accommodate a few shower wash stations and prepaired the barrier wall. Looks nice.

Refreshments vary. Typically I the summer the RI staple Dels lemonade truck is on site and on occation a food truck od some sort will pop by.

Summers are really crowded and your paying for everything. Winters its cold but a nice...

The END of surfers end is a pretty consistent surf spot, soft mushy lefts and steepers rights at the break closest to the wall. Unfortunately most of the seaweed is pushed here by the waves. In front of and to the lookers left of the rock is another A-Framey break with good peelers on both sides from a small sand bar there. After that it's all over the place and waves can be caught all the way down no-mans-land up to the first tower. Caution for swimmers which they aren't too strict on at the surfing side. If you read this whole thing you're a kook and are gonna love this awesome beach. P.s. get a...

The end, or the begging of 2nd beach. Aka sachuest beach. This is the spot where surfing I'd allowed. St. George's chapel in the background and the open o ran in front of you. One of the few South facing beaches on the east coast. I've been coming here since I've been a teen and the cycle is apparent. Young n old paddle n sometimes battle for that wave. So perfectly, imperfect. Paddle swim. Be respectful. Pick up ANY GARBAGE YOU FIND!! Most of all,, talk, meet, surf, swim, paddle n have fun! A special spot. Walk to it. Uber,n Lyft. You can't park here unless ur...

Beautiful place to walk the dogs & let em run during the winter months. Summertime the parking can get hectic & cost a bit like all the beaches. Surf is decent; more grunt than first, but often closes out & theres tons of seaweed & beginners...I find mystery seaweed in my beard for a while often after a surf & you're dodging longboards that people bail on when trying to duckdive. Is what it is.

I love the beaches, especially when they're quiet. Newport's beaches are kept very clean. Please keep them that way. Not everyone does, so if you're eco-conscious, please bring a small garbage bag with you to pick up rubbish and help keep our Earth and Newport's beaches clean.❤️
