Everytime I visit this mosque, I have an incredibly fulfilling experience. The Imam and staff are compassionate, sincere, non-judgmental and very welcoming. They go above and beyond for everyone. The speeches by the Imam are some of the best Islamic talks I have heard and make me really love and appreciate Islam. My teenagers also loved him. Two of the events I attended included many non-Muslims and they all said they learned a lot about Islam and felt really welcome and comfortable. We have held several events (funeral services and 2 lunches) and the hall downstairs is beautiful, spacious and the team was very organized. I love that they have a full commercial kitchen as well. A police officer that should be at the front at all times (3 hours) disappears and no one on the board cares that our money is thrown in the garbage. A guy on a motorcycle circles the masjid twice within 15 minutes with no trace of the police officer. I called the center and notified them. 2 days later I call to check and the Imam has not yet checked the footage from that day. The funny thing, he always says “don’t worry”. This place (as an Islamic school) is a joke. More of a place to hangout. Kids learn nothing, but after all, you cannot criticize the board. God forbids we hurt their feelings.
