I went with an 11 years old boy not convinced he'd have a good time. He was very happy to be able to be with nature. We met one of the Parks Educators who was going thru the trails pulling up foreign species and she was super helpful. Wendy, her name, showed us the odd and small mushrooms that have been growing there and I had no idea if it wasn't for her obviously. We also saw a beautiful Magnolia tree and she also educated us on it and the various Ferns, both being ancient plants that precede dinosaurs. It took us a good hour and a half to go thru the trails. They've done a good job! There were little kids from the camp, which seems fun for younger kids and I would recommend it! Super affordable and they are in constant contact with nature and some animals. Later once the camp ended the Educators let my boy touch a garden snake and bunny, and explained a thing or two about them. They have several bigger snakes there. It's a good place for kids to bring them for a couple of hours the most. Its better to avoid the campers if you want them to enjoy the animals. They leave at 3pm so one can go an hour later and come back from the woods by then. Please help with a small donation of whatever you can as they don't get funding from government, and it's run by charities. Check their website for events all year round. They have a liking event in early November that I plan to attend. Also it's ideal for a team building activity from around the area. They need volunteers to clear trails, rid of foreign vegetation, etc. Call Nicole Esposito for that. Her name is listed in...
