Taste Buddy — Restaurant in Millburn

I was very pleasantly surprised to find this completely gluten free bakery only a few minutes down the road. The pastry case is full of delicious gluten free, and some vegan, treats. I had a hard time deciding between a savory pastry or a sweet one, so I went with one of each! Surprisingly enough, the savory one was much better in my opinion. I had the spinach and feta hand pie, and my oh my, it was delicious!! The filling was seasoned well and very good but the winner was by far the pastry itself. The dough was flaky & buttery and not like any kind of gluten free pastry I've ever had before.

They also have a full juice selection and smoothie bar, tea & coffee and a selection of take & bake items as well. The atmosphere was cute & quiet with a few tables and chairs out to sit and enjoy.

I am only visiting but will definitely be back before heading out of town again!...

Tastebuddy is hands down one of the best juice spots in NJ. The moment you walk into the building you are greeted with a smile, optimism and positive energy. Each member of the team always has kind words to share and the environment has a very island friendly vibe. It’s purely somewhere you just want to go and have a juice, hang out & enjoy. The juices are amazing, the one I always get is “Orange Ya Glad” it’s well mixed blend of fruit is soothing to the tongue and stomach. I just went to Taste Buddy in Millburn and am so sad to say the service and selection is awful. When I walked in, there was no one working in the store. After a couple of minutes, a girl walked out from the back while staring down at the iPhone in her hand. I greeted her.

Then, since there were only a few cupcakes out on display, I asked if there were gluten free items to purchase, as this is the only gluten free bakery in the area. She said there are “brownies and pizza pockets”.

Since there were only 2 brownies (not on display), I asked for those.

Finally, I was charged $17 for the two brownies.

I will not return and expect the facility will indefinitely close with this poor...
