Bagels-4-U of Short Hills — Restaurant in Millburn

First time here. We came in with my family of five and immediately when we started taking the orders the cashier seemed irritated because of the big group. After we ordered our bagels and was not yet done with our order, she walks away and says hold on and never comes back, we sit there for a good five minutes at the register waiting to finish our order and awhile they are taking other peoples orders behind us while we stand at the register. We then ask “can we finish our order?” and the lady doesn’t give a response but yet seems irritated and we proceed with the order. My sister wants to order a strawberry latte and they tell us they can’t make that when the sign that says that they have strawberry lattes are right behind them. My sister is just frustrated so she just orders a caramel latte instead. The lady then walked away once again, And we sit there and wait for another 10 minutes. Then we get our food and drinks and the lady doesn’t know how much our food cost so it takes five minutes for her to ring up our order. After we sit down and get the food, my order is wrong. I asked for cream cheese on a bagel that didn’t have cream cheese, but I asked him three times if they could put cream cheese on it and they said yes. I go to the counter because there’s no cream cheese on my bagel and then they tell me they can’t do that after I asked three times before hand before and they said they could. The lady at the register tells me that they can’t, and I said that the lady who took our order said that they could. At this point, I’m already irritated and then they proceeded to tell me that they can put cream cheese on my bagel. Then they say they can but for an extra two dollars. I pay the extra two dollars and they take my bagel and just carelessly slap the cream cheese on top making it a mess rather than spreading it out evenly on the bagel or making me a new one. The customer service was horrible, and the staff constantly seemed irritated and didn’t speak or understand English. The food was OK, everything bagel is too salty and there’s too much deli on the bagel as well. The bagels are too big and messy and hard to eat. After we sit down and eat, the staff make it noticeably clear that they’re irritated with us by giving us dirty looks or laughing at us. I will not be coming back. I'm not pleased with my experience at Bagels 4 you. They need a new system of ordering and...

A very expensive bagel store. I used to come here in the 80s and honestly it's nowhere near as good as it once was. To start with I wanted a pizza bagel at 1 pm and was told the oven is closed. Who closes their oven at lunchtime during a long line when some people want hot food?

On top of that the other bagel store in union I go to gives a side order of my choice wirh any sandwich hot or cold. I thought I'd give them a chance since I had an appointment In the area. The tiny little cup of cole slaw was .80. It wasn't enough to feed a mouse . AND the identical sandwich in union is cheaper and comes with coke slaw and a pickle . No such luck here.

Needless to say I'll be taking my business elsewhere moving forward . I'm very disappointed in the attitude I got when I tried to order like they were doing me a favor. In new Jersey good bagel stores are a dime a dozen. If you want to stay in business stop with the attitude. Competition for my dollar is plentiful here...

Went in to Bagels4u on my break and there was line but, it was moving rapidly. I eventually ordered a turkey/swiss on a plain bagel. As I moved out of the way to make room for other customers, I noticed the baked goods. It wasn’t a minute later and I asked for 2 cookies and a drink to be added to my order. The young lady who took my order asked if that was it and I said yes. My total came out to $3.50 and I said “wait add the bagel” well…the young lady became extremely irate and tried to yell (behind a mask) “I THOUGHT YOU SAID THAT WAS IT”? She then slammed on the register and ripped the receipt as if ruined her whole day! I continued to say “you just took my order for a bagel as well.” She then shouted (behind her mask) “BUT YOU SAID THAT WAS IT.” She continued to make a whole seen! I myself became extremely upset and decided to just walk out. The whole ordeal was uncalled for and extremely unprofessional! It’s a bagel shop that’s opened on Saturday mornings, get a hold...
