Such a beautiful place ! Up in the hills, with a big lake and bike paths. The park itself is on a tilt so it isn’t the easiest to play fetch with if you have bad knees or are older. The grass is pretty long so I’d suggest wearing shoes only. The parking to enter the park is $6. I think that may be the only downside to the park. The park has two sides, with double doors. Two trash cans on both sides of the park, lots of benches and lawn chairs. Tennis balls scattered around the park for your throwing pleasure. A few large trees you can find shade under. The park has enough space to socially distance from other park goers.

Please DO NOT take your dogs there. I took my dog to this dog park last weekend. We’ve been to lots of dog parks in Bay Area and this is the first time he brought ticks back (found 2 so far). The view is indeed nice and maybe because it’s too natural, THERE ARE TICKS. We’re going to visit my dog’s vet tomorrow. Nice for human being but don’t take dogs there unless you want to spend $6 for entry and more bucks for your dog’s tick treatment.

Another great big dog park. There is both a large and small dog side. I enjoy coming here to let my dogs run free. Most of the people here have friendly dogs. The park itself has dog poop bags and water available. On the large dog side,it looks like the regular people have brought chairs to sit in the shade. I assume anyone can use them. In addition to the dog park,I also enjoy the many paved trails to walk my dogs

I really wanted to like this park, as it's the closest to where I live. The park is nice and spacious, with lots of grass and trees. I have a small dog, and she loves exploring the place. The major problem for me is...nobody takes their dogs to the small dog area. On multiple occasions, I've taken my little one to the park to find 15 dogs, large AND small, in the large dog area, and ZERO dogs in the small dog area. My little one is afraid of big things in general, and when she plays with big dogs she shrieks, so small dog area it is. Too bad she has no friends to play with. What's the point of driving over if she's gonna play by herself? We have a backyard for that! I have better luck on weekends, but I hate that going to this park is a gamble. There may or may not be other dogs to play with, because dog size guidelines aren't enforced, and nobody seems to care. On top of that, you need to pay for parking. Day pass $6, annual pass was $90something. What a bust. Great park for large dogs. I guess small dogs who can't mingle well with large dogs should go elsewhere. Fremont Central...

I wish there was a rattlesnake warning for this park before we entered or at least displayed somewhere.

We visited the park today and brought our one and a half year old pup, Mochi. He was enjoying his time with the other dogs until he got bit by a rattlesnake that was hiding next to the fence near the entrance of the small dog area. We rushed him to the nearest emergency vet hospital and is now fighting for his life.

We were lucky enough that we brought him in when we did. The doctor told us that the bite could have been fatal. He'll be staying the night at the hospital.

Please be wary of this dog park. Our dog has his rattle snake vaccine, which might have given us enough time to bring him to the hospital. We're hoping for the best and that...

I absolutely love Ed Levin Park! And its location is perfect for us! The off the leash dog park is large, spacious, always has green grass, fresg water from the Hetch Hetchy, friendly ppl, and fun dog friends. Just warch out for the holes, our furry best friends love to dig for ground squirrels...cannot blame them for whay is in their nature. I would pay $90 every year just for access to the dog park alone. There is also a great pond that has lots of cool birds to check out and is filled with fish for fishing, great walk. And if you love gliding through the wind and have experience alone, it is a great spot for para-...
