Jackson Park — Attraction in Milwaukee

Centrally located on the south side of Milwaukee, Jackson park offers everything you could want in a park except a golf course. There are paths that travel all over the park. The park itself is heavily wooded with a very dense section splitting the center of the park. A large lagoon with two islands is near the northern end of the park. (Occasionally there are paddle boats for rent.) There are three pavilions (one is open air) that can be rented for weddings, meetings, etc.There are baseball diamonds, multiple soccer fields, tennis courts, basketball courts, volley ball areas and a play area for children. Near the large pool is a free standing exercise machine. There is no parking area so all parking is done on the streets that enclose the park or the single road that crosses the park. Had a company picnic with hundreds of people. The grass wasn't cut for weeks. There were dead trees that where fall risks, large branches on the ground. The picnic tables were giant splitter generators.

The whole time the park ranger sat in their truck looking for reasons to write tickets for our group. We got a few warnings on how we loaded and unloaded catering equipment and sound systems.
