I love this park and all its trails! The beach is what my family lovingly calls "Rock Beach". Plenty to see and do at this park if you like nature. Fishing, foraging, plant and fungi identification, enough sticks to build a fort (:

I'm glad this park exists. It offers a nice walk, run, or bike along the Sauk River. The mountain bike trails are not super impressive, but they make the most of the limited space available.

Very nice trails. If you are looking at fishing here the best time is usually evening between April and august. Most commonly caught fish here is smallmouth bass. Also If you are a mountain biker like myself you will find newly made MTB trails. roughly 1 1/2 miles worth. This is my go to skills park, and you can find me here almost every day in the summer. I also run Northside MTB club. If you are interested in joining, all ages and skill levels are welcome. We meet here every Tuesday night 5-7 pm starting the last week of May...

Great place to escape the busy city and feel like you left even though you are smack dab still in it. Great views of natural elements of the river bottom. Quiet and secluded from traffic. Great place to explore your wild side climb the stairs a few times a month gives the left's a work out when your over 40 and not a complete athlete. This is a fun place to just watch the water flow and casually watch the ducks and geese. Fishing has never been great for me on this stretch of river, yet it's still fun to cast and hope a big 🐟...

beautiful, hidden forest park with winding trails of all sizes. been here twice, i recommend going during morning hours or during sunset. some beautiful flowers, wildlife, bridge graffiti and river views! bench swings throughout and a nice picnic space near the river rock beach. mosquitoes can get pretty bad but don't let that stop you from giving this place a visit. been here 13 years and never knew such a place was so close- no other area as private & peaceful...
