UPDATE, Septemebr 2023: After some persuading from some family members who said it has gotten better, I gave this location a try again. I was very pleasantly surprised. Our order was accurate, the portions were perfect and there was ZERO wait for my online order (picked up through ChipotLane). I will be a regular customer if they can keep this up!! 😀
January 2023: This was the worst experience I have ever had at Chipotle. I placed my order for pickup at 6:50pm. I waited in the "chipotlane" for over 80 minutes before I even got my food. And there wasn't a huge line (typical amount for Chipotle), and during that 80 minutes, only 7 cars went through the line before me. Thats over 10 minutes per car!! Inside pickup was just as bad. There was ZERO sense of urgency among the employees. A customer inside was complaining and instead of apologizing to him, staff became defensive and argumentative (I could hear from the window). I also heard profanity from the employees, which I didn't appreciate as I had my son with me. The lady at the window did say sorry for the wait, but again I stress the lack of urgency. The only saving grace was the food was okay. A little light on some of the portions, but overall not bad. I would have just canceled my order, but Chipotle makes that impossible. My opinion is the store should shut down and the employees and managers should be retrained on speed and customer service. Please do better. Read moreNot super impressed with this location. Went there a few days ago and walked into a long line but it was moving quickly. Ordering and getting our food went smooth but that’s when things changed.
The first problem we had was trying to find somewhere to sit. The entire restaurant was a mess from food and silverware on the floor to past customers not understanding they need to clean up after themselves. The latter is really more of a thing that customers should take care of themselves, but when they don’t it should fall to the staff. Long story short we ended up having to clean up a table ourselves.
Next problem came when we tried to get a drink. The ice was completely out (which from reading other reviews seems to be a continuous issue), and syrups for the pop machine were cross wired. We literally had to just pick a random one and hope our drink was actually what came out. On top of this the forks and napkins were completely out, which proved to be a large issue as 2 of us ordered bowls.
Management and training seem to be the root of the issue here. They were quite well staffed and the folks there where very nice, however they seem to be lacking guidance. There were 3 people prepping food and running the register, and 1 or 2 people cooking food, however there was an additional 1 or 2 staff members that were seemingly doing nothing.

Read moreI agree with other reviews. This is by far the worst location! Service is typically terrible at this location! I did an online order today. They sent me off, but I now know better to check before I leave. I notice the chips are missing. I question it only to be told they were too short staffed to make any. Ok, but I already paid, so I asked for a refund. The manager stated she was not able to refund as I purchased online. It is not about the money, but the ethics now. I was told to call an 800# if I wanted a refund. After holding 35 minutes, I was NOT given a refund. I called the store back and was told it was something that would be looked into with a district manager. Are you kidding me? Again, not the money, but the ethics. If you are doing this to every customer you sure are coming out ahead by doing this. You can’t charge a customer and not give them what they paid for, that is just theft. Also agree with other reviews the portions at this location are ridiculous as compared to other locations. I also left with no napkins or fork. Sartell…do better! I called almost every day since the incident and today was the first someone answered the phone.
